Rippen Chicken

Formed from deep within the Westsound Union, Rippin Chicken plays a greasy brand of funky, bugaloo and soul jazz, executed with creative ease by three funky brothers from different mothers who LOVE to play together.

After performing and recording together for the better part of a decade in groups such as, The Funk Revolution, The Lucky Mystery Now Orchestra, and The Bucks (all under the direction of the great Lucky Brown), Rippin Chicken presents this power-house rhythm section as the center of attention, playing the music they wanna, in a style that is all their own. “A soul-food Organ trio gone Rippin”

Unsinkable Heavies

Unsinkable Heavies are a subgroup of the mega all-star Funk Orchestra, Polyrhythmics. The music is decidably greasier, dirtier, and full of EGO ! Big solos, spinning leslies and a no holds barred, "taking it to the top" approach to classic soul/jazz tunes and their own compositions. "Raw Musical Adventurism" at it's finest! Most performances include the added sax aphonic freakiness of Thomas Deakin from the Yogoman Burning Band , who adds to this dynamic rhythm sections ability to melt minds and stop time!

Buzz Brümp

After years of freestyling music and words on riverbeds, beaches, ski lifts, porches and garages, Buzz Brümp was formed in 2010 to spread good vibes and cultural awareness through their music.

Hailing from New Jersey, New York, Colorado and Washington state, their sound can be best described as a “Mixed Bag” of genre-bending goodness that sweats it out on the dance floor.

Each year they embark on two seasonal tours that consist of a stable of venues where they perform regularly. The NW Summit Run is a Winter collection of shows where they have performed the Century Link Field Pregame show for Seattle Seahawks games, as well as at numerous Ski Resorts throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Kalimba, Spirit of Earth Wind and Fire

Lead vocalist, Thomas “Chazz” Smith, created Kalimba, The Spirit of Earth Wind and Fire in 2011 with the vision of honoring the beloved Earth Wind & Fire hits he and millions of others listened to while growing up. The 10-piece organization includes a full horn and rhythm section to reproduce the infectious grooves created by EWF’s Verdine White and Ralph Johnson. In February the loss of EWF’s founder and musical genius, Maurice White, left the world mourning, but Kalimba, The Spirit of Earth Wind and Fire faithfully honors his work by featuring lush treatments of the soaring vocal harmonies that are the hallmark of Earth Wind & Fire’s music and EWF’s late founder, musical genius, Maurice White. Performances authentically replicate the signature high notes of Maurice White’s sidekick, Philip Bailey.
